For Mick Hooper, nothing beats a long day at "The Office."
On a warm afternoon as the rippling water laps up onto the shores of the clearest lake in Texas, Mick Hooper is busy in the office. But he's not hunched over a desk or tapping his fingers on hold, because "The Office" in question is his 43-foot yacht. Instead, with the wind in his hair and a course charted for Devil's Cove, Mick is on his way to pick up some new friends and show them a whole new perspective of the community, events and local watering holes that only an expert who lives and breathes the Lake Travis lifestyle can do.
On Solid Ground
Although Mick now spends a lot of time on his boat, his feet have always been planted firmly on the ground. Throughout high school, Mick attended the Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia, where he not only learned the value of personal discipline and a strict code of ethics, but he quickly rose to a leadership position as a ranking officer. After studying business in college, Mick owned a home remodeling company, and later worked as a construction superintendent, supervising the building of more than 3,000 apartment units. Through these experiences he gained priceless construction knowledge and expertise.

 A Passion for Lake Travis
Since Mick and his wife Tracy, a local physician, moved to Austin in 1990, Mick has developed a passion for the history of Lake Travis, the vibrant community and dynamic lifestyle that the lake offers. On the boat, Mick can map his exact location just from his knowledge of the contours of the shoreline. Through his expert commentary, you'll learn that Lake Travis is the flood control lake for the Highland Lakes chain and that the water level can fluctuate significantly - a good thing to know whether you've been boating on Lake Travis for many years or are brand new to the area.
Knowledge is Power
With more than 20 years of living in the Lake Travis area, combined with a passion for everything its residents and the unique lifestyle this beautiful place offers, it's no surprise that Mick is so successful in his real estate career as the Lake Travis specialist. Whether buying or selling a home on the waterfront or in one of the lakefront communities, Mick's specialized knowledge and valuable insight make him a coveted resource for anyone looking to make the most of their real estate opportunities on Lake Travis.

Meet The Neighbors
When clients meet Mick at "The Office" and he takes them on a boat tour of Lake Travis, they're often amazed at the beauty and size of the lake, as well as the seemingly endless list of waterfront activities to enjoy. Mick takes the time - and a few gallons of marine fuel - to introduce his clients to everything Lake Travis offers, from the secluded coves and friendly communities to competition ski boating and "drive up" restaurants. "The Lake Travis lifestyle is so much bigger than boating, " says Mick. "Offering my clients a 'day-in-the-life' perspective is priceless."
Chart Your Own Course
For your next move in or out of the Lake Travis area, call Mick and meet him at "The Office" - where he can help you chart a course for success. There's a reason Mick is a real estate professional who can help you get the most for your home, as well as introduce the waterfront community to buyers new to the area - it's because Mick Hooper is The Lake Travis Specialist.

Buyers Remorse >For Sale to SOLD
It takes a lot more than a "For Sale" sign in the front yard, a Multiple Listing entry, and an occasional ad in the classifieds to get a listing sold. When real estate agents sell a house, we sometimes have to "sell" it again and again before the contract is actually signed by the buyers and sellers.
Many events must occur before the closing. The house must be "sold" to the buyers' relatives, the home inspector, the appraiser, and other experts. The buyers must secure a mortgage. At some point during the process, the buyers may go through a serious case of "buyers' remorse" and consider backing out of the transaction. Since the transaction could potentially fall through at any step in the process, you will find the services of a professional real estate agent invaluable. Agents continue to present the house in the best light possible and use thier professional skills to solve any problems that may arise.
