Looking for a little PERSONALITY in real estate? Mick puts the FUN back into a serious business! Mick's personality, attention to detail, and enthusiasm won him his first job as Customer Service Trainer for American Airlines. His second career was in construction management, supervising projects whose total value exceeded $150 million. With his 20 years of experience in customer service and construction management, you won't find more skilled representation.
In addition to residential real estate, Mick is well versed in the complexities of buying raw land and waterfront properties. You can trust him to guide you through issues such as LCRA restrictions, flood plains, cove depths and the variable water level of Lake Travis. With his development and construction experience, he can provide valuable insight in determining the cost and feasibility of your planned property improvements. You need an agent who really KNOWS land and waterfront - the issues are so different than those in residential transactions! Mick will help you interpret and verify property information so that you can make a truly informed decision.
Mick is very involved in the community. He was a former Director of the Cedar Park 4A Economic Development Corporation by City Council. He was also an Ambassador for the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce and in 2003 was awarded an Exemplary Achievement Award and Honorary Lifetime Membership due to his tireless efforts for the Chamber. Because he's so connected, Mick is up on all the latest developments in town and knows where all of the new roads and "hot properties" will be- you need to know this information before buying or selling!
Mick graduated from the 2003 class of Leadership Cedar Park, a 9-month civic immersion class focusing on all major areas of city government and community affairs. He served on the Advisory Committee for the Hill Country Community Ministries, helping to raise corporate donations and awareness for this critical outreach service that helps so many of our neighbors in times of financial need. He is a popular speaker for the Leander ISD's Texas Scholars Program, which encourages kids to strive for higher levels of personal performance.
Continuing education is important to Mick. He has completed 900 hours of additional training to earn his Broker’s license. He has also earned the e-PRO Internet Professional certification (which less than 5% of Realtors have obtained!) and the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation by the National Association of Realtors. He is also a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), a designation held by only a few other Realtors in Austin.
You'll appreciate his low-pressure (but high energy) approach. Mick is serious about practicing real estate with honesty and integrity, and promises that his level of service will exceed your expectations!

Titles >Liens Against the Title
Occasionally homeowners who are trying to sell their home are surprised to learn that their title is encumbered by a lien. There are several types of liens; the most common are mechanic's or contractor's liens.
The lien (or debt) must be paid off in order to be cleared. If the owner prefers to challenge the lien, he can release it by posting a bond, pending adjudication. In some types of liens, a title search may disclose claims against the property by an ex-spouse or long-ago heir of a former owner. A simple "quitclaim" deed may be used in these cases. By signing the deed, the person involved signs over whatever rights he or she might have, without laying any claim to the property.
Most real estate transactions involve at least some minor unresolved issues on the part of either the buyer or the seller. This is where an experienced real estate agent can provide solutions to resolve the issues and conclude the sale.
